I've been reading this, off and on, since around Christmas -- Fiction On A Stick, and anthology of short stories by Minnesota writers.

So far, it's pretty hit and miss. As much as I love the concept -- including the organization of stories by State Fair locales (e.g., Heritage Square, Grandstand, Modern Living, Midway, and Progress Center), none of the stories so far (I haven't finished yet) have anything to do with the State Fair. And a great majority of them are even set in Minnesota. And at least one or two are hideously bad (for my tastes, anyway).
Still, a fun little book. MinnPost covered the book today, so I thought I'd comment on it. Let's hope it becomes an annual anthology.
